Oncology Provider in Puyallup, WA
Alicia does her best to live by the famous words once spoken by Mother Theresa “I cannot change the world but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
With an interest in oncology, breast cancer, hematology, and cancer genetics, Alicia has a passion for high-quality and accessible patient care. She is currently affiliated with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, the Association of Physicians Assistants in Oncology, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the Puget Sound Oncology Nursing Society.
When asked why she became a provider, Alicia had this to say:
“Being faced with an uncertain diagnosis can be challenging and serve as a major source of distress for cancer patients and families. The impact of cancer on my family and a personal genetic predisposition to familial cancer syndromes, ignited my passion to pursue a profession in oncology. I became a healthcare provider to increase access to high quality and cost effective cancer care and address the needs of my community. Providing the opportunity to help patients understand the most recent and evidence based medical care. In the cancer treatment journey, my goal is to communicate information clearly, help patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, and empower them to make informed healthcare decisions. A compassionate approach addressing individual needs of each patient with a focus on quality of life, promotes healing and optimal wellbeing.”
Outside of the clinic, Alicia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the beautiful pacific northwest, hiking, biking, and camping.
