To our dear patients,
As many of you already know, I will be retiring from Rainier Hematology Oncology-NWMS on December 31st, 2021.
Whether you have seen me once or been a patient for many years, the primary concern of our practice is to provide quality and compassionate care which includes a smooth transition to
another doctor.
We have experienced young Hematology-Oncology specialists who have recently joined our medical practice, Dr. Mohammed Kanaan, and Dr. Lavanya Sundararajan. They will be working primarily out of our Puyallup office and will pick up most of my patients. If you have a request to transfer to a specific doctor in the practice, please speak to one of our schedulers and we will
do our best to accommodate that request.
In 1991 I came to Puyallup to join the sole providers of Medical Oncology care in Puyallup and Auburn. There were mergers with other practices, new
offices, and name changes; and we are now 15 doctors and 14 nurse practitioners-physician assistants with offices from Federal Way and Gig Harbor to Tacoma and Puyallup and serving 2
large hospital systems. We are soon to be opening offices in Olympia and Chehalis.
Our growth has reflected the growth in the region and the tremendous advances in our area of medicine. I have been blessed to work in this field of medicine and in this supportive community. I am most grateful for the patients who reward me with their trust and candor every day. I assure you that I am healthy and looking forward to exploring many interests in and outside of medicine in the years ahead.
