Dear Patients and Friends,
The time has come to share that I will be retiring from Northwest Medical Specialties on April 1, 2025.
Reflecting on my journey of nearly 40 years as a physician here in Tacoma, I am deeply grateful for the
trust and connections that have shaped my career. In 1985, I founded Hematology Oncology Northwest, which later joined Rainier Hematology Oncology to become the company we are today, Northwest Medical Specialties. Seeing our practice grow through the support of local physicians and our incredible patients has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.
The success of our practice has always been grounded in the commitment and compassion of my
partners and staff. Together, I hope we have provided you with care that is both expert and
compassionate. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey and for placing your trust in all of us at NWMS.
Rest assured, you are in excellent hands. My esteemed partners will continue to care for many of my
patients, supported by our outstanding teams. Their dedication to delivering the highest quality care is
unwavering, and I am confident they will carry forward our shared commitment to compassionate
service.
While I may be stepping away from my clinical role, I am looking forward to staying connected to cancer care through ongoing work with organizations like the South Sound CARE Foundation and other cancer initiatives. I am deeply blessed to have been part of such an extraordinary team at NWMS, and I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, support, and trust through the years.
Thank you for everything. I am leaving you in the very best of hands.
Best,
Dr. Frank Senecal
